A guild in the making!

August 7, 2008

I’ve been playing Wow for about a year now. Ignore the fact that I played in US realms for about 3 months without realizing it! (read: utter noobness)

I’ve stuck with the same classes I’ve always tried out at least (keeping stuff consistent!)

Recently I moved to the alliance side of The Sha’Tar realm. I deleted all of my Horde characters (well almost, I left my 19 Orc hunter to have some “I’m bored of leveling” fun in the Battlegrounds). I /gquited because of some Guild Drama, but not the kind we usually hear about around Azeroth (both Us and EU)

No sir, mine was, well…. Different.

Some members shared the opinion that my views on how we should work towards a common goal we’re distorted and not manageable, and although a few friends supported my ideas and beliefs, the atmosphere surrounding Guild chat, ventrillo, and even the usual instance runs was becoming a problem with verbal fights going left and right.

Although not directly involved in most of them, the guilt of possibly being the reason of the fight (i.e. someone backing me up, or defending a common ideal) was something I did NOT what to bare and so I took the nose-dive out of the guild, believing that my exit, would bring them a more clam environment, and less discussions.

I even went Alliance, so I couldn’t see (read: read) some retarded hate filled comments some of them made to me!

All is well. Dwarfs have the funniest /silly jokes! ^^

I rolled a paladin, went holy to be useful on instances, kept my mouth shut, did my Job the best I could and that was that!

I leveled (and still am) a Night elf hunter on off-days, and started to read (allot) of class oriented blogs, forums about Dps scaling, rotations and Healing efficiency.

I rolled a Warrior (in part for the need to have a tank option for some instances, and in part because I’m inquisitive, and I what (need) to know what can I do to help others do a better job. (read: Healing a tank)

Right now I’m sitting on a Level 62 Holy paladin (guild-less) a level 44 Marksman Hunter (guild-less) and a level 35 Fury Warrior GM of StarShards (one man guild by choice at the moment)

The plan is to grab recruit players for StarShards, players that share same (or close) points of view then mine, that can construct opinions with logical reasoning, instead of the usual:

HAHAH, noobzor, I pwnzs

StarShards, could have a bright future, it already had a good start. It has Guildbank with 1 tab, ventrillo server for 25 persons, and reputation is going well, with Dranzig Sacrificing some leveling time to help a few potentials candidates players trough some quests, help out on instance runs (has tank or Dps).

All in all, let’s see what both these projects (guild and Blog) end up becoming! hopefully both will have some degree of success.
